The classic point-and-click adventure game Beneath a Steel Sky from Revolution Software is currently in the process of getting a makeover for an upcoming appearance on the iPhone.
“BaSS” has been available for free on multiple platforms for quite a while now via the ScummVM software kit. iPhone users on the other hand will have to pay for the privilege of reliving the old classic on their handheld. It won’t be that expensive, however – the price is estimated to between $2 and $3 at launch.
Plus, as the “Remastered” part of the title implies, it will also come with a handful of bonus features compared to the original. Aside from some polishing in general, the game has been updated with new animated cut scenes to add some modern flair to it. Could be worth the extra $2, perhaps?
The developer Revolution Pocket seems to have some high hopes for the future as well, including a potential Beneath a Steel Sky sequel.
